Multiple sclerosis, or so-called stiffness of nerve tissue in the brain and spinal cord, directly affects the work of muscles. There may not be a major cause of the disease, but it is linked to the performance of the immune system and the surrounding environment as well as genetic factors.
The main symptoms of the disease are: weakness and numbness in the feet, mostly in the legs. Impairment or loss of vision in one of the eyes; disorders of urination and defecation.
Diagnostic:
- Diagnostic of the affected areas of the brain or spinal cord
- MRI of the brain and spinal cord
Treatment of multiple sclerosis in our medical center consists of 3 stages:
1. Preparatory stage: Traditional methods are used at this stage (plasma, steroids, interferon). The stage is performed after the MRI in order to prepare the body to the stem cell therapy and to detect the phase of the disease.
2. Stem cell therapy. At this stage different types of fetal stem cells which aim to form new blood vessels, restore areas affected by the disease are used.
3. Follow-up: At this stage, the patient must follow the treatment prescribed which helps to develop the most possible effect of stem cells.
The duration of treatment in our medical center is 5-6 days.
