Parkinson's disease is connected with disorders of the motor system in the human body. The disease begins due to the damage of the brain cells producing dopamine and is one of the most common neurological disorders. The disease affects 1% of people over the age of 60 years. It is caused by the lack of neurons that transport dopamine in a part of the brain. It also affects men more than women and older people (at the age of over 50).
Symptoms of the disease are:
- Tremor at rest
- Drowsiness is aggravated by an intellectual effort, a feeling of tension or expression of emotions.
- Muscle stiffness.
- Slow movements.
- Difficulty in performing certain movements.
- Walking in small steps and loss of balance in the arms.
In the period of development, the following complications appear:
- Problems in walking.
- Perceptual problems.
- Speech problems.
Diagnostic:
Parkinson's disease is difficult to diagnose because symptoms appear gradually and some other diseases can cause it.
Many clinical signs and some tests are required to exclude the other diseases.
CT scan or MRI and blood tests are made.
Treatment of Parkinson's disease in our medical center consists of:
1. Preparatory stage. Firstly, the diagnosis is confirmed by a neurologist. Then the patient receives physiotherapy and reoxygenation.
2. Stem cell therapy. Multifunctional and neural fetal stem cells are administered.
Stem cells help to restore damaged areas of the brain, thus increasing the production of dopamine (which is considered to be the main cause of the disease).
It has been observed during recent years that stem cell therapy in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease improves life quality, reduces tremor and improves speech and memory.
The duration of treatment of Parkinson’s disease in our medical center is 5 days.
